Christine Fergus serves as a Social Media Engagement Specialist for C&S. Originally from Ohio, she holds an MA in Modern Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and an MA in Professional Studies in Arabic from the University of Maryland. Christine has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East, and has participated in cultural-linguistic immersion programs in Syria and Egypt, specializing in Modern Standard Arabic and Syrian dialect. Her recent professional experience includes a 6-month internship in Damascus with an NGO - one of a small number operating in Syria - focused on promoting the rights of women, children, and the disabled in Syrian society. |
